RUSSELLVILLE, Ark.  – The Arkansas Tech Golden Suns softball team (29-17, 23-11 Great American Conference) was forced to settle for a series split with the University of Arkansas at Monticello Cotton Blossoms (30-14, 23-9), falling 4-1 in the opener before dropping a 3-2 decision in the nightcap on Saturday at the Chartwells Women's Sports Complex.

• The Golden Suns return to action on Tuesday, April 18, with a doubleheader at Harding. A 2 p.m. first pitch is scheduled.
