RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. — Mark Vaughn picked up three hits in the opener, while Trent Armstrong fired a four-hit shutout in the nightcap as the Arkansas Tech Wonder Boys baseball team (12-16, 6-9 Great American Conference) rolled to a doubleheader sweep over East Central (6-19, 6-9 GAC) on Saturday, winning the opener 9-7 before taking a 3-0 decision in the finale.  

NEXT UP

• The Wonder Boys head west next weekend, traveling to Durant, Okla. for a three-game set with Southeastern Oklahoma. Friday's first pitch is set for 2 p.m. while Saturday's doubleheader begins at noon.
