STRUCK EARNS HER SECOND GAC GOLF AWARD OF YEAR

RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – Golden Suns sophomore golfer Avery Struck received the Great American Conference Golf Award for the March 16-29 time frame, the second GAC golf award that she has received in the last month.
 
Struck was named the GAC Golf Award recipient on March 2 and her teammate, freshman Anna Frandsen also received the award on March 16, making it three golf awards in a row for the Golden Suns in 2016.
 
Struck is coming off a third-place finish at the Nebraska-Kearney Invitational, carding a 149 (five-over par) for the tournament. Struck shot the low round of the tournament with a 70 in the second round. She led Arkansas Tech to a third-place finish in the tournament, which featured the top teams from the Central Region.
 
The Golden Suns will be back in-action on Monday, April 4 for the first round of the Henderson State Bear Bank Classic at the Big Creek Golf Club in Mountain Home, Ark.
